One day oil will run out and become old hat as a new fuel or source of energy rises to replace it. Right now solar, wind and water energy are poised and ready to attack the oil industry, but you never know when a dark horse is going to enter the ring and revolutionize everything.
There are many exiting innovations in energy source news. Fusion is closer than ever before and could give us unimaginable amounts of power that could spur more than just another renaissance. Cold fusion, if it is possible, could make it a lot safer than hot fusion which must be contained and could prove more disastrous than any nuclear reactor meltdown. This is the energy source that our sun survives on.
Energy source news is not difficult to find, the internet and newspapers are full of energy related news, but the accuracy of these sources is often low quality. Try finding any proven accurate data that backs up the theory of global warming. Yes, the earth is warming. That part can be easily tracked, but is it a result of increased CO2 emissions? This is where energy sciences become vaguer and even the effects of wind and solar powers on the environment are largely unknown.
